NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A MODIFICATION ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the County of Lancashire

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
FOOTPATH FROM WENNINGTON ROAD TO HOME FARM CLOSE,
WRAY WITH BOTTON
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2021

On the 13th May 2026 the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed with modification the above Order.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by adding a Footpath commencing on Wennington Road at SD 6036 6775 between the properties numbered 30 and 32 and running in an approximately south easterly direction along a tarmac path to the side of 32 Wennington Road to SD 6037 6774 then continuing across a tarmaced area to the rear of the property and then along a tarmac/compact stone surfaced track to exit onto Home Farm at SD 6040 6770. The length of the route is 70 metres.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at the offices of Lancaster City Council, and at my offices from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00.

The Order took effect on the 13th May 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 to the Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order, he may, under Paragraph 11 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from the date of publication of this Notice, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
