THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2026
(GOWDALL FOOTPATH NO 6 AND NO 7)
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from proceeding whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback along Gowdall Footpath No 6 and No 7 for approximately 3500 metres. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed construction works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed within six months. There is no alternative route available for persons affected by the closure.
The Order will commence 8 June 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
