(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting at any time and introduce a 20MPH speed limit on The Croft. The road closure is required to protect public safety whilst the 2026 highway retexturing programme is carried out. It is expected that the affected road will be closed for up to 3 days. Temporary speed limits may be required in preparation for the works, during the works and in-between phases of the works. The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in this location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.
The Order will come into effect on 18 June 2026 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier.
During the works alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Crawley: Martyrs Avenue
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close:
(i) Martyrs Avenue (eastbound) between Dobson Road and the A23; and then
(ii) Martyrs Avenue, between Access Road and Latimer Close.The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst electrical connection works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 6 June 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the 1st closure will start on 6 June 2026 and will be in place for 12 days. The 2nd closure will start on 10 August 2026 and will be in place until 3 September 2026.
