THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM

Temporary Traffic Management Order - (Events, Barking And Dagenham) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE OF INTENT

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to safely facilitate events and parades, The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order will come into effect for each event or parade as named in Column 2 of Schedule 3 to this Notice on the dates and times given in Column 3 of that Schedule.
• However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the named events specified in Schedule 3 are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will for each event named in Column 2:
• of Schedule 1 temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic in roads specified in Column 3 and alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be maintained via roads specified in Column 4 of that Schedule; and
• of Schedule 2 temporarily prohibit waiting and loading on footways and the carriageways on those roads or parts of road specified in Column 3 of that Schedule.

4. The provisions of this Order will not prevent access being maintained for pedestrians to any premise situated on or adjacent to any road or length of road as detailed in Schedule 1 of this Notice, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, those roads or parts of road.

5. The provisions of this Order will not prevent access or egress being maintained for market traders for the Events specified as Nos. 1 and 2 in Column 1 of Schedule 3.

Gurdwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)) northbound traffic only from the lighted lady roundabout to its junction with North Street. Gurdwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)) from its junction with North Street to its junction with Longbridge Road roundabout. Fanshawe Avenue from its junction with Longbridge Road roundabout to its junction with Victoria Road.

Rolling closure along from Manor Primary School, Left onto Scholars Way, Right onto Academy Way, Right onto Fellowship Close, Over Campus Ave to College Way, Left onto Chancellor Way, Left onto Provost Way, Left onto Campus Avenue back to Manor Primary School.

Rolling Closure on Rose Lane starting from Marks Gate Community Hub to its junction with Arneways Avenue. Arneways Avenue from its junction with Rose Lane to its junction with Tantony Grove. Tantony Grove from its junction with Arneways Avenue to its junction with Rose Hatch Avenue. Rose Hatch Avenue from its junction with Tantony Grove to its junction with Newhouse Avenue. Newhouse Avenue from its junction with Rose Hatch Avenue to its junction with Arneways Avenue. Arneways Avenue from its junction with Newhouse Avenue to its junction with Roles Grove. Longhays Avenue from its junction with Arneways Avenue to its junction with Roles Grove. Roles Grove from its junction with Lunghays Avenue to its junction Rose Lane. Rolling closure westbound on Longbridge Road from its junction with Upney Lane, except for right turn access from South Park Drive. Longbridge Road from its junction with Addersey Gardens to its junction with Station Parade, with junctions closed at Salisbury Avenue, Fanshawe Avenue, Cecil Avenue, and Wilmington Gardens. Eastbound on Gurdwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)) from its junction with Queens Road to the roundabout at its junction with Longbridge Road.

Eastbound Via Gurdwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)), Abbey Road, St. Pauls Road, Ripple Road and Upney Lane. Westbound Via Upney Lane, Ripple Road, St. Pauls Road, Abbey Road, Gurdwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)), Queens Road, Church Road and Tanner Street.

Rolling closure along Grafton Road from the southern property boundary of No. 110 Grafton Road to its junction with Becontree Avenue. Becontree Avenue from its junction with Grafton Road to the eastern property boundary of No. 539 Becontree Avenue.

Rolling closure along Rectory Road from the northern property boundary of No. 10 Rectory Road to its junction with Church Elm Lane.
