What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 01/07/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow National Grid & their contractors to undertake installation of new & replacement of expired apparatus & other associated works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Sheepy Rd, Main Rd, Ratcliffe Ln & vice versa.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 27/06/2026 and have a maximum duration of 12 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 nights to allow Network Rail & their contractors to undertake bridge maintenance & investigatory works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Rugby Rd, R/bout At The Jct Of Sketchley Rd & Rugby Rd, R/bout At The Jct Of Rugby Rd Three Pots Rd & Canberra Wy, Canberra Wy, A5 M69 J1 R/bout, Watling St, M69 From J1 To J2, A5 A Rd, M69 J1 To A46, A5 From End Of Dualling West Of Sketchley To M69 J1 R/bout, A5 From End Of Dualling West Of Sketchley To Start Of Dualling South Of Hinckley Nw, A5 From J A47/B4666 R/bout To Start Of Dualling South Of Hinckley including R/bout, A5 J A47/B4666 R/bout, Coventry Rd, Harrowbrook Rd, Maple Dr, Trinity Ln & vice versa.

Rugby Rd, Hinckley from the Jct of Hawley Rd to where the USRN changes to Rugby Rd, Burbage. Rugby Rd, Burbage from where the USRN changes from Rugby Rd, Hinckley to the Jct of Copper Dr in both directions.

Rugby Rd, Burbage from where the USRN changes from Rugby Rd, Hinckley to the Jct of Copper Dr, East side of the carriageway.
