BARGATES & FOUNTAIN WAY, CHRISTCHURCH – ROAD CLOSURE

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT: Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

WHERE & WHEN:

• Bargates from its junction with Fountain Roundabout to the property boundary of Nos. 37/39 – Anticipated dates: 15th June 2026 until 3rd July 2026

• Fountain Way from its junction with Fountain Roundabout to its junction with Stony Lane Roundabout – Anticipated dates: 6th July 2026 from 20:00 until 06:00 10th July 2026

WHY: This is to facilitate highway installation works by Blaze Construction

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

DIVERSION: Via signed routes

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
