BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(BELFIELD LANE, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Belfield Lane from its junction with Belfield Road for a distance of 327metres in a southerly direction.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Belfield Lane from its junction with Belfield Lane, direction in a southerly for a distance of 327 metres.
The Order is required to facilitate the resurfacing of the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 8th June 2026 until 17:00 on the 6th July 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Belfield Road, Samson Street, Albert Royds Street, Milnrow Road & vice versa.
(MADDISON SQUARE, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Madison Square for its entire length.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Madison Square for its entire length.
The Order is required to facilitate temporary road closure to lift heavy equipment onto building roof within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 8th June 2026 until 23:59 on the 19th June 2026.
There are no alternative routes for vehicles.
(BLACKSTONE EDGE OLD ROAD, LITTLEBOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES & TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit motor vehicles from proceeding along Blackstone Edge Old Road from a point of 502 metres from its junction with Halifax Road, A58 for a distance of 540 metres in an easterly direction.
(ii) Temporary prohibit motor vehicles from waiting at any time along Blackstone Edge Old Road from a point of 502 metres from its junction with Halifax Road, A58 for a distance of 540 metres in an easterly direction.
The Order is required to safely facilitate the excavation of a joint bay with track to install and joint cable.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 8th June 2026 until 23:59 on the 19th July 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Halifax Road (A58), Blackstone Edge Old Road & vice versa.
(MILNROW AND NEWHEY CARNIVAL, MILNROW AND NEWHEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along;
• Haugh Lane – for its entire length,
• Railway Street – for its entire length,
• Huddersfield Road – from its junction with Haugh Lane to its junction with Newhey Road/Shaw Road,
• Newhey Road – for its entire length,
• Dale Street – for its entire length,
• Station Road – for its entire length,
• Equitable Street – for its entire length,
• Harbour Lane North – for its entire length,
• Bridge Street – from its junction with Harbour Lane North to its junction with Dale Street.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along;
• Haugh Lane – for its entire length,
• Huddersfield Road – both sides from its junction with Haugh Lane to its junction with Peppermint Close,
• Newhey Road – the westerly side from the M62 Bridge to its junction with New Street.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe holding of the Milnrow and Newhey Carnival.
The Prohibition of Vehicles will be operative from 12:00 until 14:30 on the 20th June 2026.
The Prohibition of Waiting will be operative from 09:00 hours until 14:30 hours on 20th June 2026.
Due to the nature and duration of the event it is not necessary for alternative routes to be in place.
