What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – DOWN STREET & UP STREET, DUMMER, BASINGSTOKE & DEANE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

Down Street between its junction with Glebe Close and its junction with Up Street.

Up Street between its junction with Down Street and continuing to a point 50 metres West on Up Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Down Street, A30, Up Street.

DURATION OF ORDER: from Thursday 18th June 2026 for a period of 18 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 month and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day and is a rolling road closure).

The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Connect It Utility Services to complete electrical utility works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: nrswa@cius.co.uk
