What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – BIGHTON LANE, BIGHTON, WINCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED:

1. Bighton Lane between its junction with Goscombe Lane and continuing to a point 150 metres North on Bighton Lane.

2. Bighton Lane between its junction with North Street and continuing to a point 1 km Northeast on Bighton Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

1. Goscombs Lane, Sutton Wood Lane, Bighton Dean Lane.

2. B0017, Northside Lane.

DURATION OF ORDER: from Tuesday 16th June 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days working between the hours 08:00-19:00).

The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Trooli to install telegraph poles. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: emily.bennett@trooli.com
