Martin Road, Martin - Temporary Road Closure due to Openreach Desilting Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – MARTIN ROAD, MARTIN, NEW FOREST

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Martin Road between its junction with Sillens Lane and its junction with Townsend Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Road Through North End, High Street, Browns Lane, Cranborne Road, Crane Street to Biddlesgate Farm, Crane Street, Wimborne Street, B3078, B3081, A354, Martins Drove End

DURATION OF ORDER: from 18th June 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day, working between the hours 09:30 – 15:30).

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to carry out desilting work. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: surveys@sunbeltrentals.co.uk

Openreach will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
