BOSWORTH) (IMPOSITION OF A 20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 5, 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:
To impose a 20MPH Speed Limit on part of Station Road, Market Bosworth A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected until 24th June 2026, during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA on the councils website at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations, at the offices of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley, LE10 0FR and on the notice board at Market Bosworth Parish Council. All documents relating to the proposal will remain available on request, in compliance with statute by contacting legalpropertyandenvironment@leics.gov.uk
Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 24th June 2026, quoting reference BB/HTWMT/6173.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 23
PUFFIN CROSSING BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH, STATION ROAD, MARKET BOSWORTH
The Leicestershire County Council proposes to establish a Puffin Crossing in accordance with Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, at the following location.
Station Road, Market Bosworth – In proximity to the junction conjoining Springfield Avenue outside St Peters Primary Academy.

(STATION ROAD, MARKET BOSWORTH)
(BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH) SECTION 90A HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
The Leicestershire County Council proposes to construct speed cushions on Station Road, Market Bosworth. The speed cushions will be constructed under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980.
The provisional location for the traffic calming measures are as follows and are subject to a change in position following public consultations:- Station Road
Market Bosworth – One set of two cushions 75mm high approximately 105m East of the junction with Weston Drive
– One set of two cushions 75mm high approximately 50m West of the junction with Weston Drive
– One set of two cushions 75mm high approximately 30m West of the junction with St Catherines Avenue
– One set of two cushions 75mm high approximately 35m East of the junction with Heath Road
– One set of two cushions 75mm high approximately 25m West of the junction with Heath Road
