Shalden, East Hampshire - Temporary Road Closure and Right-Turn Prohibition due to Utility Works
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE & PROHIBITION OF A RIGHT-HAND TURN – FROYLE ROAD & OLD ODIHAM ROAD, SHALDEN, EAST HAMPSHIRE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED IN AN EASTBOUND DIRECTION ONLY: that part of Froyle Road in an eastbound direction between its junction with B3349 New Odiham Road and its junction with Old Aylesfield Buildings.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B3349, Basingstoke Road, A339, A31, Isington Lane
RIGHT-HAND TURN TO BE PROHIBITED: that part of Old Odiham Road heading right onto Froyle Road is to be prohibited.
DURATION OF ORDER: from 15th June 2026 for a period of 6 days or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 6 months, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Connect It Utility Services to carry out electric supply connection. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: nrswa@cius.co.uk
Connect It Utility Services will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
