(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be;
(i) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along HOBS MOAT ROAD, SHELDON between its junction with Old Lode Lane and its junction with Coventry Road.
(ii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along HORSE SHOES LANE, SHELDON between its junction with Sheaf Lane and its junction with Coventry Road.
(iii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along SHEAF LANE, SHELDON between its junction with Coventry Road and its junction with Deepdale Avenue.
The temporary Order is required to enable highway maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by this Order will be signposted and access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on 18th June 2026 and will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
