(Various Roads, Little Paxton) (Speed Limits) (Consolidation) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 29th of May 2026 Cambridgeshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of this is to introduce a 20mph speed limit on most residential roads in Little Paxton, with the exception of less well built-up roads, including Great North Road and Little Mill Lane; and the existing 40mph speed limit on Great North Road would be retained and extended westwards by a short distance.
It should be noted that in the notice proposals published on 8th October 2025, Mill Lane was included in the planned 20mph speed limit, but this will not be implemented at this time.
The following Orders are hereby revoked: -
"The County of Cambridgeshire (Restricted Roads) (No.2) Order 1978",
"Cambridgeshire County Council (40mph Speed Limit) (No.5) Order 1999"

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the 29th May 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
