THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD BRIDLEWAY NO.36, GRIVES LANE LEVEL CROSSING) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall:-
(a) proceed on foot,
(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,
(c) cause any horse to proceed and
(d) cause any animal to proceed,
in the following length of bridleway at Kirkby in Ashfield in the District of Ashfield:-
Kirkby in Ashfield Bridleway No.36 – Grives Lane level crossing.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
From Thursday 18th June 2026 at 23:30hrs to Friday 19th June 2026 at 05:30hrs inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no direct alternative route available.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out or in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath.. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required due to enable essential railway maintaince works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 3rd DAY OF JUNE 2026
