What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION: RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING PLACES) (VARIATION NO. 11) ORDER 2026 - TRO/24/30

The Council on 27/05/26 made the above Order, which will come into operation on 01/06/26. The effect is as stated in The Scotsman dated 14/11/25 (TRO/24/30), with the following changes approved by Committee: 1. Replace a 50m permit holders parking place with 2x 10m permit holders parking places that all operate Mon-Fri 12:30-14:00 on Colinton Gro; & 2. Reduce the length of waiting restrictions that operate at any time by adding 5m to permit holders parking places that operate Mon-Fri 12:30-14:00 on Lockharton Ave, Lockharton Cres & Lockharton Gdns.

Details of the Made Order and related documents, including our privacy notice, can be viewed free of charge between 09:30 and 15:30 Mon-Fri from 29/05/26 to 10/07/26 at Calton Hub, Waverley Court, 4 East Market Street, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG, or online during the same period at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/trafficorders. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 27/05/26 apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
