D5336 St Cross Road, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D5336 St Cross Road, Farnham. This Traffic Order is required to enable Falcon Tower Crane Services Limited to dismantle a tower crane and/or to carry out associated works in D5336 St Cross Road, Farnham between its junction with B3228 East Street and the northern side of its junction with D5336 Upper South View. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 6am and 8pm within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the lengths of roads above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or preventing the likelihood of such danger arising. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained to the point of works via the vehicular diversion routes:- 1. East Street, St James Avenue, Stoke Hill, St James Terrace and Beaufort Road. 2. Beaufort Road, High Park Road, Park Row, Castle Street, The Borough, Bear Lane, Woolmead Road and East Street. Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the footway to the western side of the carriageway.
A287 Downing Street, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 3 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A287 Downing Street, Farnham which extends from its junction with West Street to its junction with Upper Church Lane and any parts thereof. This Order is required to enable South East Water to facilitate connection works and/or water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8pm and 6am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 8 June 2026. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for and emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Alternative Route – Firgrove Hill, Great Austins, Tilford Road, Station Hill, A31 Farnham By-Pass, Sheperd and Flock Roundabout, Hale Road, Upper Hale Road, Folly Hill, Castle Hill, Castle Street and The Borough.
Bishops Road (D5353) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 29 May 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bishops Road (D5353) Farnham as extends from its junction with Folly Lane North (D5353) to the access road for 6A to 12 Bishops Road.
Alternative route – Folly Lane North, Hope Lane and Bishops Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable of Durkin and Sons to facilitate network repairs to fix outages for residents and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 June 2026 for 2 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Runwick Lane (D5328) and Clarks Hill (C123) Runwick
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of – (a) Runwick Lane (D5328) Runwick as extends from its junction with Chamber Lane (D5328) to its junction with Clarks Hill (C123); and (b) Clarks Hill (C123) Runwick as extends from its junctions with Runwick Lane to the merge of both arms of the junction outside of “Hillside”; and 2. suspend “The Surrey County Council Runwick Lane (D5328) Runwick Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it affects the length of Runwick Lane described in 1. (a).
Alternative route – (a) Runwick Lane, A31 (Alton Road) and Chamber Lane, or this route in reverse. (b) Clarks Hill, Dippenhall Road, Crondall Lane, B3228 (West Street), A31 (Alton Road) and Runwick Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable South East Water to facilitate valve replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 June 2026 for 1 week between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site.
Pitt Lane (C26) Frensham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 03 June 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of Pitt Lane (C26) Frensham as extends from its junction with (C26) Shortfield Common Road to its junction with (D123) Mill Lane. Alternative Route: Mill Lane, The Street, (A287) Frensham Road, and Shortfield Common Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Vertical Technology to carry out emergency repair works to a land slip within the carriageway and because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road. It is anticipated that the remedial works will be carried out over 5 weeks, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, within the 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 14 June 2026 and continues in force the provisions imposed by “The Surrey County Council C29 Pitt Lane, Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2026” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 26 May 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
