What is happening?

ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL

C56M – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

“The Aberdeenshire Council (C56M Suie Road, Alford - 01.06.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

The order will operate from 01.06.26 for 21 days and will prohibit any person from driving on the C56M Suie Road, Alford from C123M Bridge of Alford to Tullynessle.

Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety during fibre infrastructure installation works. An alternative route for traffic is available via the C56M – C62S – B992 – C123M and vice versa.
