CYNGOR BWRDEISTREF SIROL CASTELL-NEDD PORT TALBOT (BRIDGE STREET, NEATH) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Network Rail to carry out bridge inspection works in the road.
The Order will come into force on 22nd June 2026 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner, but it is anticipated the works will take 1 night to complete between 11pm and 6am.
SCHEDULE
Bridge Street will be closed from the junction of Croft Road in a westerly direction for 40m along its length.
There will be no access for pedestrians or emergency vehicles whilst the closure is in place.
