NOTICE 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea intends to make an Order in pursuance of its powers as contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) ("the Act") and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 ("the Regulation") and Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 ("the Act") the effect of which is as set out in the Schedule(s) below. 

A copy of the proposed Order, Statement of Reasons and an appropriate plan may be inspected during normal office hours at Y Storfa, 277-278 Oxford St, Swansea SA1 3EL. Alternatively the proposal documents can be viewed online at https://www.swansea.gov.uk/permanenttro.  

Any objections to the proposals should be submitted in writing setting out the reasons thereto to reach the undersigned at the above address or via e-mail at Legal.TrafficNotices@swansea.gov.uk by the 23rd June 2026 quoting reference DVT-285747/EE.

SCHEDULE 1
REVOCATIONS
The existing Orders are revoked insofar as they are inconsistent with the proposals hereinafter contained which relate to the length or lengths of the road or roads referred to in the schedules hereto.

SCHEDULE 2
Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time, No Loading/ Unloading At Any Time

CLORDIR ROAD
Northern and Western Kerbline
From a point 180 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Bryntirion Road/ Swansea Road (A48) for a distance of 44 metres in a easterly then northerly direction.

SCHEDULE 3
Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time

CLORDIR ROAD
Southern and Eastern Kerbline
From its junction with the eastern kerbline of Heol-Y-Parc to its junction with the south western kerbline of Parc Cae Glas, a distance of 80 metres

Southern Kerbline
From its junction with the western kerbline of Heol-Y-Parc for a distance of 7 metres in a westerly direction

Eastern Kerbline
From its junction with the north eastern kerbline of Parc Cae Glas for a distance of 20 metres in a north easterly direction

HEOL-Y-PARC
Western Kerbline
From its junction with the southern kerbline of Clordir Road for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction

Eastern Kerbline
From its junction with the southern kerbline of Clordir Road for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction

PARC CAE GLAS
Northeastern Kerbline
From its junction with the eastern kerbline of Clordir Road for a distance of 15 metres in a south easterly direction.

Southwestern Kerbline
From its junction with the eastern kerbline of Clordir Road for a distance of 15 metres in a south easterly direction.

SCHEDULE 5
Traffic Calming Measures
Round topped tarmacadam road hump (75mm high)
To be located approximately 58 metres northeast of the northeastern kerbline of Parc Cae Glas.

Full Road Width Speed Plateau (75mm high)
On Clordir Road approximately 12 metres southwest of the southwestern kerbline of Parc Cae Glas for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction.
