ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
EMSCOTE ROAD & FOSBERRY CLOSE, WARWICK
Order Effect: Vehicular traffic will be prohibited from making a Right Turn from Emscote Road onto Fosberry Close AND from making a Right Turn from Fosberry Close onto Emscote Road.
Reason for Order: To safely enable utility works.
Order Commences: 31 May 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 31 May 2026.
Access & Diversion: Emscote Road, Charles Street, Wharf Street, Campriano Drive, Beaurevoir Way, Fosberry Close and vice versa.

WHARF STREET, WARWICK
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Installation of new duct in footways.
Order Commences: 1 June 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 4 June 2026.
Access & Diversion: Wharf Street, Charles Street, Emscote Road and vice versa.

CAPE ROAD, WARWICK
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from Oken Road to Deerpark Drive In addition, the Weight Restriction on West Street, High Street, Jury Street. Castle Hill, Priory Road, The Butts and St Nicholas Church Street will be temporarily suspended.
Reason for Order: Repair/replacement of defective manhole covers and frame, overnight 19.00hrs-06.00hrs.
Order Commences: 5 June 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 6 June 2026.
Access & Diversion: Cape Rad, Northgate Street, Priory Road, St Nicholas Church Street, Castle Hill, Jury Street, High Street, West Street, Stratford Road, A46, Birmingham Road, Wedgenock Lane, Upper Cape.

PUBLIC FOOTWAY AND CYCLEWAY MACBETH APPROACH, WARWICK
Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable replacement of underground pressure reduction.
Order Commences: 15 June 2026 for up to 6 months.
Anticipated Completion: 17 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Cyclists should dismount.

ST NICHOLAS ROAD, RADFORD SEMELE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable installation of boundary box and blockage clearance works.
Order Commences: 16 June 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 17 June 2026.
Access & Diversion: Will be appropriately signed.

D7097 MOSELEY ROAD, KENILWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from Birches Lane to Thornby Avenue.
Reason for Order: Footway reconstruction and associated works, 08.00hrs-17.00hrs weekdays.
Order Commences: 15 June 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 17 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Birches Lane, Windy Arbour, Thornby Avenue and vice versa.
Access/Egress to/from Worcester Road may be restricted whilst works are in progress. There will be no access/egress to/from Arden Road via Moseley Road whilst works are in progress.

OVAL ROAD, RUGBY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Kerb replacement and remedial carriageway works.
Order Commences: 15 June 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 16 June 2026.
Access & Diversion: Lakin Road, Coventry Road, Guys Cross park Road and vice versa.

D4370 ARLINGTON AVENUE, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from Lillington Avenue to Binswood Avenue.
Reason for Order: Footway resurfacing and associated works, 09.00hrs-17.00hrs weekdays.
Order Commences: 4 June 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 12 June 2026.
Access & Diversion: A445 Lillington Avenue, B4087 Kenilworth Road, Binswood Avenue and vice versa. Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 0342 415 302.
For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

(LEAM TERRACE AND VARIOUS ROADS, LEAMINGTON SPA)
(20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026 S90G HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – REFUGES/BUILDOUTS
Warwickshire County Council proposes to:
– make the above-named Order, pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to reduce the 30mph limit to a 20mph speed limit on the lengths of roads described in Schedule 1 below; and
– install three separation refuges/buildouts and relocate a pedestrian refuge with buildout on the length of roads described in Schedule 2 below.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan showing the length of roads affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order/for the proposals are available to view at the Council’s Main Reception at Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick, and online on the Council’s website https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/news/20210/warwick-district
Any objections to, or representations in support of, the proposals, which must be in writing and specify the grounds on which they are made, should be addressed to Chris Round, County Highways Minor Works, Shire Hall Post Room, Rear of Shire Hall, Northgate Street, Warwick, CV34 4RL, or sent by email to chminorworks@warwickshire.gov.uk using the subject heading “Leam Terrace & Various Roads 20mph Speed Limit Order”.
