SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U9018 WALMER ROAD, LOWESTOFT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U9018 Walmer Road, Lowestoft from the junction with Blackheath Road for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a gas mains replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Blackheath Road, The Avenue, Acton Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/06/2026 - 12/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U6110 KENT ROAD, LOWESTOFT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6110 Kent Road, Lowestoft to facilitate the relaying of a water supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

There will be no diversion route.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/06/2026 - 10/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
