TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1115 HUMBLE GREEN, LITTLE WALDINGFIELD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1115 Humble Green, Little Waldingfield from Bells Drift for 320 metres westbound to facilitate overhead cabling and tree cutting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1115, the A134, the A1071, the B1115 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/05/2026 - 31/05/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8903 HOOK LANE, HADLEIGH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8903 Hook Lane, Hadleigh from Harvest House for 40 metres northbound to facilitate electrical works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Hook Lane, Station Road, the B1070, Hook Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 30/05/2026 from 8.30am - 3pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1308 TOT HILL, HAUGHLEY
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1308 Tot Hill, Haughley from the on and off slip roads at junction 49 for 90 metres north eastbound to facilitate resurfacing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A14 from Cedars roundabout to Church Road, the A14 with no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/05/2026 - 01/06/2026 from 8pm - 6am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4119 THE STREET AND C411 SHOTLEY ROAD, SHOTLEY AND ERWARTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
• U4119 The Street, Shotley from the junction with Shotley Road, Erwarton for 88 metres northbound.
• C411 Shotley Road, Erwarton from the junction with The Street, Shotley for 109 metres south westbound.
This is to facilitate a new water main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1456, Harkstead Lane, Brick Kiln Road, Lower Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/06/2026 - 17/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C727 POLSTEAD HILL, POLSTEAD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C727 Polstead Hill, Polstead from the junction of Water Lane for 110 metres northeast bound to facilitate underground electric cable work. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Water Lane, Mill Street, Rectory Hill, B1068, Hadleigh Road, Higham Hill, Lower Raydon, the road from C727 to A273, Stoke Road, Rockalls Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/06/2026 - 03/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3214 BEARDMORE PARK AND C372 ANSON ROAD, MARTLESHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
1. U3214 Beardmore Park, Martlesham from the junction with Anson Road for 20 metres southbound
2. C372 Anson Road, Martlesham from the junction with Beardmore Park for 60 metres westbound.
This is to facilitate installing electrical cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
1. Anson Road, Gloster Road, Barrack Square, the A12 and vice versa
2. Anson Road, Gloster Road, Barrack Square, the A12 with no vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
1. 10/06/2026 - 13/06/2026 from 7pm - 6am
2. 15/06/2026 - 19/06/2026.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF WOOLPIT) (VARIOUS ROADS) (20 MPH SPEED ZONE) ORDER 2026
On 27/05/2026 Suffolk County Council made the above order for the District of Mid Suffolk under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, the effect of which would be to introduce a 20mph speed limit zone to:
• Church Street (C435), from a point approximately 68m west of its junction with Heath Road, west for a total distance of 186m
• Cormill Green (U4943), the whole road from its junction with Mill Lane, south to property nos. 12/14
• Masons Lane (U4942), from its junction with Rectory Lane, to where the road ends, before becoming an unmade track
• Mill Close (U4943), the whole road from its junction with Mill Lane, Northwest to property nos. 9,10 and 11
• Mill Lane (U4943), the whole road, from its junction with The Street, Southeast to its junction with Heath Road
• Rags Lane (U4939) from its junction with The Street, to a point approximately 150m east of Mitre Close, a total distance of 338m
• Rectory Lane (U4942), from its junction with Church Street, North for a distance of 163m
• The Street (C435), From a point 11m south of Hay Barn Meadow, to its junction with Church Street
• Green Road (C434), From a point 11m north of Drinkstone Road, north to its junction with The Street/Church Street, a distance of approximately 143m and including the turning island around the historic water pump at its junction with Church Street.
A copy of the order which comes into effect on 3rd June 2026 at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Elmswell Library, Memorial Library, Cooks Road, Elmswell, IP30 9BX 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 7pm Tuesday, 2pm - 5pm Wednesday, 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 7pm Thursday, 2pm - 5pm Friday, Saturday 10am - 1pm and Sunday 10am - 3pm.
If anyone wishes to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the requirements of that Act or any instrument made under it have not been complied with in relation to the order, they may within six weeks of the date on which the order was made apply to the High Court for this purpose.
