(WATFORD) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023
(AMENDMENT) (NO.7) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Order pursuant to arrangements made Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Authorities (Arrangement for discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of powers conferred on that Council under Sections 1, 2, 3, 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (which said Act of 1984 is hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the 1984 Act.
1. The effect of the Order will be to provide No Waiting At Any Time waiting restrictions as follows:
• Across the entrance to Shakespeare Industrial Estate from both Acme Road and Shakespeare Street to implement the no waiting at any time restrictions
• At the junction of Garfield Street and Milton Street to implement 5 metres of no waiting at any time restrictions on the western side
• On Cassiobury Drive, northwest of the junction with Stratford Way to amend the existing parking bay length and extend the existing no waiting at any time restrictions by 4 metres
• On Addiscombe Road: across the access into Kenneth Court car park with no waiting at any time restrictions
2. The effect of the order is to provide two short stay pay and display parking bays to operate Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6.30pm, maximum stay 1 hour. No return within 2 hours restriction at the following location:
• On northeast side of Cross Street adjacent to Sutton Road

The deadline for the receipt of objections or representations of support is 23:59 on Friday 19th June 2026.
