(VARIOUS ROADS, PART A WATFORD)

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Order pursuant to arrangements made Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Authorities (Arrangement for discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of powers conferred on that Council under Sections 1, 2, 3 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (which said Act of 1984 is hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part II of Schedule 9 of the 1984 Act.

1. The general effect of the order would be to provide ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ waiting restriction at the following locations:

• On both sides of the Hazel Tree Road and Beechwood Rise junction

• At the turning head on Colne Way

• On all arms at The Ridgeway and Courtlands Drive junction

• On Minerva Drive across the entrance of Goodwood Recreation Ground

• On Grandfield Avenue, adjacent to the parking bay opposite property no.100 for 5 metres

• On Mandeville Close, an extension on both sides of the carriageway from its junction with Nascot Wood Road at the junction of Greenbank Road and Minerva Drive

• On Sheepcot Lane, opposite the junction with Sheepcot Drive for 10 metres

• At the junction Byron Avenue and Devon Road to replace the existing single yellow lines

• On the inside of the bend on Bushey Mill Crescent, outside no. 56

• To replace the access protection marking across the gate access to Kenneth Court on Addiscombe Road

• At junction of the garage access road opposite No. 71 Haines Way

2. The effect of the order is to provide “No Loading at any time” over the existing no waiting at any time restriction at the following location:

• On Greenbank Road, outside property no. 51

The deadline for the receipt of objections or representations of support is 23:59 on Friday 19th June 2026.
