THE COUNCIL HAS MADE
The Council has made The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No’s. 2/2 & 2/3, Parish of Stoke Mandeville) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order, 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Rd Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No’s. 2/2 & 2/3, from the level crossing and continues either side of the level crossing for the length of approx. 35M. The alternative route whilst the closure is effective is via existing highway and Public Footpath No.1, Parish of Stoke Mandeville. The closure is required to allow for works to proceed in connection with the approved South East Aylesbury Link Rd. The Order will come into operation on 26 May 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE
The Council intends The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No. 6/1, Parish of Oakley) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order, 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Rd Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of OAK FP 6/1 & B4011 and continues south for the entire length of OAK/6/1. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for public safety due to a failed bridge structure. The Order will come into operation on 10 June 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
