THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
PEARSON PARK PEEL PROJECT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along the entry into Park Road on Park Avenue and Pearson Avenue and the whole of Pearson Park, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the charity fun run at Pearson Park. Barriers will be placed at both ends of the closed roads, and each access point will be manned by stewards to ensure the safety of runners and pedestrians.
Access will still be maintained to residents during the closure. Designated parking for the event will be available at Harris & Co supermarket, providing a convenient option for those arriving by car.
Two volunteer parking attendants will be on site to help manage traffic flow and provide assistance as needed. Blue badge parking will also be accommodated, with existing disabled parking bays remaining accessible and stewards on hand to assist if required. Foot access to Pearson Park will remain open throughout the event.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 21st June 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 10.00am and 2.30pm on 21st June 2026.

ARMED FORCES DAY 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:-
Area 1 – Paragon Street, from Chariot Street to Queen Victoria Square.
Area 2 – King Edward Street, from Jameson Street to Queen Victoria Square.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27th June 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 27th June 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7am to 6.30pm on 27th June 2026.

WENTWORTH WAY AREA AND VICTOR STREET AREA
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
The effect of the Order will be to revise the Traffic Regulation Order for Victor Street and Arundel Close so that some existing no waiting restrictions are removed. Additionally, it is proposed to introduce no waiting at any time by vehicles on Wentworth Way, St.Quintins Close, Kent Close and Bellamy Court.
The purpose of the Order is to prevent vehicles parking in such a way that they impede the movement of moving traffic and remove existing restrictions that are no longer necessary.
A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.
