What is happening?

REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL
WEST DYKE ROAD REDCAR PROVISION OF PEDESTRIAN CROSSING

In exercise of its powers under section 23 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the Council proposes to install a parallel pedestrian crossing across West Dyke Road, Redcar. The crossing is to be centred at a point 5.5 metres south of its junction with Brooksbank Avenue.

BROOKSBANK AVENUE/WEST DYKE ROAD REDCAR TRAFFIC CALMING

In accordance with Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980, the Council hereby gives notice of its proposal to introduce traffic calming measures in the location and of the dimensions as specified below.

Brooksbank Avenue, Redcar junction with West Dyke Road. The raised table will be 3.7metres in width with the eastern ramp being 0.5m wide and the western ramp being 0.7m wide. The length of the raised table will be 6.2m from the centre of the proposed uncontrolled pedestrian crossing point.

A copy of this notice and a plan showing the locations of the proposed installations may be inspected at the offices below or at www.redcar-cleveland.gov.uk/ roads-and-parking/permanent-highway-notices. Written representations on the proposal either by letter to the undersigned marked for the attention of Emma Garbutt or by email to emma.garbutt@redcar-cleveland. gov.uk must be received by 22.6.26.
