What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
BRAMSHOT AVENUE – WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND PARKING PROVISION
(TEMPORARY MEASURES) [TT5(26)]
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, to improve visibility for pedestrians and drivers and to prevent
anti-social behaviour, intends to make an Order in Bramshot Avenue.
2. The effect of the Order in Bramshot Avenue (the entire section situated 3 metres (m) west of the eastern boundary of Nos. 23/25) would be to:
i. (east side) between a point 26m and 91m south of its northern extremity - introduce a pay-by-phone parking place, operating ‘at all times’ with a maximum stay of 2 hours and no return within 3 hours;
ii. (all sides) in the remainder of the carriageway (excluding the proposed pay-by-phone parking place referred to in paragraph ‘2.i’ of this notice) – introduce waiting and loading prohibitions, operating ‘at all times’, replacing any single yellow line waiting restrictions within that section.
3. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency vehicles or to service vehicles.
4. The Order would come into force on 10th June 2026 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months.
