Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
Alma Place, Ramsgate, CT11 8PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alma Place, Ramsgate, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 3, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Artillery Road, Ramsgate, CT11 8PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Artillery Road, Ramsgate, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside numbers 1A & 1B, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Artillery Road, Bellevue Road, B2054 Victoria Road, King Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cliffs End Road, Ramsgate, CT12 5GH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cliffs End Road, Ramsgate, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 3 Cliffs End Farm Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cliffs End Road, Sandwich Road, Foads Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cliffs End Road, Ramsgate, CT12 5GH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cliffs End Road, Ramsgate, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 2 Cliffs End Farm Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cliffs End Road, Foads Lane, Sandwich Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Clifton Place, Margate, CT9 1SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clifton Place, Margate, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 8, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Clifton Gardens, Northdown Road, Bath Road, Bath Place and Clifton Gardens.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Court Road, Birchington, CT7 0NE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Court Road, Birchington, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 20m past the junction of Wantsum Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Court Road, Potten Street Road, A299 St Nicholas Roundabout, A28 Canterbury Road, The Length and The Street.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Court Road, The Street, The Length, A28 Canterbury Road, A299 St Nicholas Roundabout, A299 Thanet Way and Wantsum Way.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, CT12 5DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, on or after 14th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 01:00 and 04:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Hall By The Sea Road, Margate, CT9 5FE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hall By The Sea Road, Margate, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the rear of number 50 Cinque Ports, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hall By The Sea Road, A28 Marine Terrace, A254 Belgrave Road, Hall By The Sea Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Laundry Road, Ramsgate, CT12 4HN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Laundry Road, Ramsgate, on or after 10th June 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the side of Wensley 1 The Lanes, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foxborough Lane, Tothill Street, Laundry Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Paragon Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Paragon Street, Ramsgate, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the rear of number 12 Spencer Square, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of B2054 Paragon Street and Addington Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addington Street, The Broadway, West Cliff Road, B2054 Grange Road, B2054 St Augustines Road, B2054 Paragon and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Queen Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queen Street, Ramsgate, on or after 10th June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 44, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queen Street, West Cliff Road, B2054 Grange Road, B2054 St Augustines Road, B2054 Paragon, B2054 Royal Parade, Leopold Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
School Lane, Ramsgate, CT11 8QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Lane, Ramsgate, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside flat number 90 1 School Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via School Lane, Belmont Street and Hardres Street.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Hardres Street, A255 Boundary Road, Church Road, Broad Street and School Lane.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
