Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

A20 London Road, Farningham, DA4 0JP (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of drainage works, Kent County Council has made an Order for a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30mph to be imposed on a section of A20 London Road, Farningham, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.

The 30mph speed limit applies in both directions on A20 London Road, Farningham, from A225 Dartford Road to A225 Eynsford Road.



B2027 Clinton Lane, Bough Beech, TN8 7NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 Clinton Lane, Bough Beech, on or after 14th June 2026 for up to 1 night between 00.30hrs and 04.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Open View Farm and Chiddingstone House.

The alternative route is via B2027 Clinton Lane/Chequers Hill, Hever Road, Uckfield Lane, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Hartfield Road, A264 Colestock Road, East Grinstead Road/Watch Oak Hill/Ashurst Hill/Ashurst Road, B2188 Fordcombe Road/Spring Hill/Saints Hill/New Road/High Street, B276 Penshurst Road/Penshurst Lane, B2027 Hildenborough Road/Stocks Green Road/Rings Hill, Watts Cross Road, B245 London Road, Weald Interchange/A225 Riverhill/Tonbridge Road, A225 High Street, A224 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, London Road Roundabout, A25 The Square, A25 Worships Hill/Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street/Westerham Road/Vicarage Hill/ Market Square/High Street/Westerham Road, B269 Kent Hatch Road/Spout Lane/Pootings Road, B2027 Bough Beech Road and vice versa.



B2027 Tonbridge Road, Bough Beech, TN8 7AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 Tonbridge Road, Bough Beech, on or after 11th June 2026 for up to 1 night between 20.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Waterlake Cottage.

The alternative route is via Tonbridge Road (B2027) - Penshurst Road (B2027) - High Street (B2027) - Hildenborough Road (B2027) - Stocks Green Road (B2027) - Leigh Road (B2027) -Tonbridge Road (B245) - London Road (B245) - Riverhill (A225) - Tonbridge Road (A225) - High Street (A225) - London Road (A224) - Amherst Hill (A224) - Worships Hill (A25) - Westerham Road (A25) - Main Road (A25) - High Street (A25) - Westerham Road (A25) - Hosey Hill (B2026) - Hosey Common Road (B2026) - Main Road (B269) - Spout Lane (B269) - Pootings Road (B269) - Bough Beech Road (B2027) - Clinton Lane (B2027) - Chequers Hill (B2027) - Tonbridge Road (B2027) and vice versa.



Ashgrove Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 2PA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Scotia Gas Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashgrove Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Tanglewood.

The alternative route is via Ashgrove Road, Weald Road, A225 Tonbridge Road, Oak Lane and vice versa.



Bower Lane & Goodbury Road, Knatts Valley, TN15 6XQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Lane and Goodbury Road, Knatts Valley, on or after 9th June 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed between Silver Birches and Crossways but not at the same time.

The alternative route for Bower Lane is via A225 High Street/Station Road/Shoreham Road, Pilgrims Way East, Row Dow, Birchin Cross Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for Goodbury Road is via Birchin Cross Road, Clarkes Green Lane and vice versa.



Brands Hatch Road, Fawkham, DA3 8NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brands Hatch Road, Fawkham, on or after 24th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Sun Hill.

The alternative route is via Fawkham Road, A20 London Road, Ash Lane, South Ash Road, The Street, Ash Road, Chapel Wood Road, Ash Road, Hartley Road, B260 Main Road, Fawkham Road, Valley Road and vice versa.



Coppings Road, Leigh, TN11 8PR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coppings Road, Leigh, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Wickhurst Brook.

The alternative route is via Camp Hill, B2027 Tonbridge Road/Penshurst Road/High Street/Hildenborough Road/Stocks Green Road, Rings Hill, Philpots Lane and vice versa.



Eglantine Lane, Farningham, DA4 0BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Eglantine Lane, Farningham, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between A20 Gorse Hill and the substation.

The alternative route is via Rays Hill, The Street, Horton Road, Station Road, A225 Dartford Road, A20 London Road, Eglantine Lane and vice versa.



Hale Oak Road, Sevenoaks Weald, TN14 6NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hale Oak Road, Sevenoaks Weald, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Lodge, Moorcroft Farm.

The alternative route is via Hale Oak Road, Bowzell Road, Bowzell Green, Baileys Hill Road, Bore Place Road, B2027 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.



Idleigh Court Road, Meopham, DA13 0JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of approx 135m of HV cable to be laid, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Idleigh Court Road, Meopham, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Larksfield and Idleigh Court.

The alternative route Hartley Bottom Road, Ridley Hill, Rectory Road, New Street Road, Chapmans Hill, A227 Wrotham Road, Shipley Hills Road, Idleigh Court Road and vice versa.



London Road, Swanley, BR8 8DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of SGN and Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of London Road, Swanley, on or after 8th June 2026 to 7th December 2027 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between B2173 London Road and Elmstead Repair & Service Ltd.

The alternative route is via B2173 London Road and vice versa.



Main Road, Knockholt, TN14 7LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Main Road, Knockholt, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Brasted Lane.

The alternative route is via Cudham Lane South, Cudham Lane North, A21 Sevenoaks Road, Rushmore Hill, Main Road and vice versa.



Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, DA3 8HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, on or after 23rd June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Three Gates Road.

The alternative route is via Three Gates Road, Scratchers Lane, A20 Gorse Hill, Eglantine Lane, Mussenden Lane and vice versa.



Northview, Swanley, BR8 7BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northview, Swanley, on or after 23rd June 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 96.

The alternative route is via Sycamore Drive, B2173 Bartholomew Way/Maidstone Road, Hilda May Avenue, Northview and vice versa.



Parkgate Road, Orpington, BR6 7PY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Parkgate Road, Orpington, on or after 23rd June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 3 Parkgate Cottages.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.



Station Road, Halstead, TN14 7DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Halstead, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 14.

The alternative route is via Shoreham Lane, Clarks Lane and vice versa.



Three Gates Road, Fawkham, DA3 8HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Three Gates Road, Fawkham, on or after 9th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Speedgate Hill for 100m south.

The alternative route is via Speedgate Hill, Valley Road, Brands Hatch Road, Scratchers Lane, Three Gates Road and vice versa.



Various Roads, DUNTON GREEN, Sevenoaks, (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of gas works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Dunton Green, Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below.

Ivy House Lane closed at junction with London Road
22 June 2026 to 5 July 2026
Traffic diverted via London Road, Station Road, Rye Lane, Pilgrims Way West and vice versa.

Crescent Road closed at junction with Station Road
(Phase 1) 27 July 2026 to 17 August 2026
(Phase 2) 24 August 2026 to 06 September 2026
Traffic diverted via Station Road, Crecent Cottages and vice versa.

Kingswood Road closed at junction with Station Road
24 August 2026 to 06 September 2026
Traffic diverted via Station Road, London Road, Milton Road, Kingswood Road and vice versa.

Bullfinch Lane closed at junction with London Road
03 August 2026 to 23 August 2026
Traffic diverted via A224 London Road, A25 London Road, A25 Worships Hill, Witches Lane, Bullfinch Lane and vice versa.

Milton Road closed at junction with London Road
07 September 2026 to 21 September 2026
Traffic diverted via London Road, Station Road, Kingswood Road, Milton Road and vice versa.
