Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
A258 Sandwich Road, Sholden, CT14 0EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A258 Sandwich Road, Sholden, on or after 10th June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from opposite number 19 to number 21, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A258 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound On, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A258 Deal Road, A258 Dover Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Victoria Road, A258 Ranelagh Road, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Beach Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Queen Street and A258 London Road.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Beach Street, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Deal Castle Road, A258 Victoria Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Dover Road, A258 Deal Road, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound Off, A256 Link between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road and A258 Sandwich Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Coldred Hill, Lydden, CT15 7JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coldred Hill, Lydden, on or after 28th June 2026 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coldred Hill, A2 Dover Road, Lydden Hill, Canterbury Road, Church Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Eythorne Road, Shepherdswell, CT15 7NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Eythorne Road, Shepherdswell, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 17 to outside number 19, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Westcourt Lane, Westcourt Downs, Long Lane, Barfrestone Road and Eythorne Road.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Eythorne Road, Great Haynes, Mill Lane and Church Hill.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Hurst Lane, Capel Le Ferne, CT18 7EY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hurst Lane, Capel Le Ferne, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the side of 147 Caple Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Capel Street, Cauldham Lane, Hurst Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Kings Road, Aylesham, CT3 3HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kings Road, Aylesham, on or after 26th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 46 to outside number 96, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Cornwallis Avenue, Dorman Avenue North, Market Place and Kings Road.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Heritage Road, Burgess Road, Ratling Road, Cornwallis Avenue and Kings Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The Street, Northbourne, CT14 0LF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Northbourne, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside 4 Almonry Cottages to outside Old Shepherds Cottage and from Old Shepherds Cottage to outside Yew Tree Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Deal Road, Willow Road, Northbourne Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Water Street, Deal, CT14 6AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Street, Deal, on or after 8th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 20, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Princes Street, Ark Lane, College Road, High Street, Water Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Willow Woods Road, Little Mongeham, CT14 0FZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Willow Woods Road, Little Mongeham, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Deal Road for approximately 680m in a Westerly direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Willow Woods Road, Northbourne Lane, School Lane, Deal Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
York Road, Walmer, CT14 7FD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of York Road, Walmer, on or after 22nd June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 41, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via York Road, North Barrack Road, Campbell Road, Wollaston Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
