ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:-
(i) U6212 Talisman Close, Barrow-In-Furness, from its junction with Marsh Street, extending in a north easterly direction to its junction with Fenman Close.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

(ii) Abbey Road, Barrow-In-Furness, from its junction with Rating Lane, extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with Dane Avenue.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Abbey Road, Hawcoat Lane and Dalton Lane.

The Order will come into operation on 1st June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 3 months in total and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
