What is happening?
THE HAMPSHIRE (OAKCROFT LANE AND RANVILLES LANE, FAREHAM)
(30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 19th May 2026, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 84 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to implement a 30 miles per hour speed limit on Oakcroft Lane and adjacent roads, as follows:
(i) Oakcroft Lane between its junction with Ranvilles Lane and its junction with The Poplars, an approximate distance of 510 metres.
(ii) Ranvilles Lane between its junction with Farm House Close and its junction with Oakcroft Lane, an approximate distance of 160 metres.
(iii) The Poplars, for its entire length.
The Poplars will become 30 miles per hour by virtue of section 82(1)(a) of the Act, with no requirement for an Order.
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Saturday 30th May 2026.

(ii) Fareham Borough Council, Civic Offices Customer Services, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ (Opening hours: Monday to Friday 08.45 – 17.15)
(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 17.15; Fridays 8.30 – 16.45)
