On 27 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Bailes Lane (D57) Normandy.
This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Echo Pit Road (D4015) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Echo Pit Road (D4015) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4015) Chantry View Road to its junction with (D4015) Pilgrims Way.
Alternative Route: Pilgrims Way, (A281) Shalford Road, and Chantry View Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Thames Side (D3314) Laleham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Thames Side (D3314) Laleham as extends from its junction with (D3311) Ferry Lane to its junction with (X2174) Access from Thames Side to Abbeyfields Motor Home Park; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Thames Side (D3314) Laleham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety.
Alternative Route: Ferry Lane, (B376) Shepperton Road, Littleton Lane, (B375) Chertsey Bridge Road, and Thames Side, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate excavation works within the carriageway for, or on behalf of Fulcrum.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Bookhurst Road (B2127) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of Bookhurst Road (B2127) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with its roundabout with (D5537) Parklands Drive to its junction with (D189) Wanborough Lane.
Alternative Route: (B2127) Bookhurst Road, (B2127) Cranleigh Road, The Green, Horsham Lane, Horsham Road, Rowhook Road, (A29) Bognor Road, (A29) Guildford Road, (A281) Guildford Road, (B2128) Church Street, (B2128) Cox Green, (B2128) Horsham Road, (B2127) Ewhurst Road, and (B2127) Bookhurst Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to safely allow traffic to flow while emergency water mains replacement works are taking place and because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road.
It is anticipated that the remedial works will be carried out over 10 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 30 May 2026 and continues in force the provisions imposed by “The Surrey County Council B2127 Bookhurst Road, Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2026” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 11 May 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2) (b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Lower Eashing and The Hollow (D90) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Lower Eashing (D90) Godalming; (b) The Hollow (D90) Godalming.
Alternative Route: (1) (D90) Guildford – Godalming By-Pass, (A3) Guildford – Godalming By-Pass, (A3) Milford By-Pass Offslip Road, (A283) Guildford Road, and Eashing Lane; (2) Eashing Lane, (A283) Guildford Road, (A283) Guildford Road Roundabout, (A283) Link Road, (A283) Elstead Road Roundabout, (A3) Milford By-Pass, (A3) Guildford – Godalming By- Pass, (B3000) Puttenham Heath Road, (A3) Guildford – Godalming By-Pass, and Lower Eashing.
This Order is required to facilitate excavation and telecom spine cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 days, between the hours of 7am and 7pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site or road plates, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Leapale Road (C93) and Woodbridge Road (C93) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 22 May 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:- (a) the entire length of Leapale Road (C93) Guildford (D238); and (b) that length of Woodbridge Road (C93) Guildford eastbound as extends from its junction with Onslow Road (A322) to its junction with Leapale Road (C93).
Alternative route – A322 (Onslow Street), A31 (Farnham Road), A322 (Bridge Street and Onslow Street), A246 (York Road), A3100 (London Road and High Street), A320 (Chertsey Street) and North Street. This Order is required to enable Walker Construction (UK) Ltd to facilitate S278 works including a new footway and carriageway and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 June 2026 for 1 week between the hours of 7.00pm and 5.00am.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
D227 Burrows Lane, Gomshall
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D227 Burrows Lane, Gomshall. This Traffic Order is required to enable:-
(i) BT Openreach to carry out telegraph pole replacement and/or cabling and/or maintenance works in D227 Burrows Lane, Gomshall between the junction with D222 Hook Lane and the southern property boundary of “Oak Trees”; works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm on 11.06.26.
(ii) Network Rail to carry out level crossing maintenance works, to include signal/telecoms maintenance and/or lifting level crossing, digging out wet beds and re-railing in the length of D227 Burrows Lane, Gomshall that is crossed by the level crossing and for a distance of 20m either side; works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 1am and 6am, within 3 nights from 14.06.26.
These works are anticipated to be carried out within 1 week of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative routes:- (i) Queen Street, Shere Road, Middle Street, Shere Lane, Sandy Lane and Hook Lane.
(ii) Burrows Lane, Hook Lane, Little London Lane, Park Road, New Road and Sherbourne.
Hoe Lane (D230) Peaslake/Abinger Hammer
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Hoe Lane (D230) Peaslake as extends from its junction with (D230) Franksfield to its junction with the access to the property known as “The Mead”; (b) Hoe Lane (D230) Abinger Hammer as extends from its junction with (D230) Hoe Lane Peaslake to its junction with (X230) Westfield; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Hoe Lane (D230) Peaslake Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026”, and “The Surrey The Surrey County Council Hoe Lane (D230) Abinger Hammer Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in their entirety.
Alternative Route: Hoe Lane, Pursers Lane, Burrows Cross, Hook Lane, Burrows Lane, Queen Street, (A25) Station Road, (A25) Dorking Road, (A25) Guildford Road, (B2126) Felday Road, (B2126) Horsham Road, and Hoe Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Manorcrofts Road and Station Road (C10) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Manorcrofts Road (C10) Egham as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (D7011) Wesley Drive to its junction with (C10) Station Road; (b) Station Road (C10) Egham as extends from its junction with (C10) Manorcrofts Road to its junction with (D3185) Rusham Road.
Alternative Route: Manorcrofts Road, Stroude Road, (B3376) New Wickham Lane, (B388) Vicarage Road, (B3407) High Street, (B3407) Church Road, and Station Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate excavation and installation of new telecom pole and rigging works for, or on behalf of EE. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 phases.
Phase 1: will be carried out over 8 nights, between the hours of 8pm and 5am, starting 22 June 2026;
Phase 2: will be carried out over 4 nights, between the hours of 8pm and 5am, starting 14 July 2026, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Phase 1: Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Phase 2: Access may be restricted while rigging works are taking place.
In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Puttenham Road (C20) Seale
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Puttenham Road (C20) Seale as extends from its junction with (D85) Totford Lane to its junction with the access to the property known as “Chaucers”.
Alternative Route: (1) Puttenham Road, Elstead Road, (C21) Hogsback, (C119) The Street, (A31) Runfold Diversion, (A31) Hogs Back, (B3000) Puttenham Hill, (C20) The Street, and Seale Lane;
(2) Seale Lane, (C20) The Street, (B3000) Puttenham Hill, (A31) Hogs Back, (A31) Runfold Diversion, Elstead Road, and Puttenham Road. This Order is required to facilitate overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day,
between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
The Spinning Walk (D226) Shere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Spinning Walk (D226) Shere as extends from its junction with (C46) Shere Lane and for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction along The Spinning Walk.
Alternative Route: The Spinning Walk, Church Hill, Church Lane, and Shere Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate underground cabling repair works for, or on behalf of UKPN.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to the follow the signed diversion route.
Water Lane (D169) Enton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Water Lane (D169) Enton as extends from the access for Chadworth Cottage to the access for Little Eton Cottage.
Alternative route – Station Lane, A286 (Church Road), A283 (Petworth Road), Culmer Lane and Water Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate duct installation and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 June 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained by road plates. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
A244 Hersham Road and B365 Ashley Road, Walton On Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- a) B365 Ashley Road, Walton On Thames that extends from its junction with A244 Ashley Road, to its junction with Woodside (anticipated hours of operation 8pm to 6am).
Alternative route:- Southbound – A244 Ashley Road, A244 High Street, A244 Hersham Road, A244 Robinsway, A317 Hersham By-Pass, A317 Queens Road, B365 Ashley Road and A244 Ashley Road. Northbound – B365 Ashley Road, A317 Queens Road, A244 Hersham By-Pass, A244 Robins Way, A244 Hersham Road and A244 Ashley Road. b) A244 Hersham Road that extends from its junction with A244 Ashley Road, southwards for 30m (anticipated to be operational for 24 hours each day). Alternative route:- Southbound – A244 Ashley Road, B365 Ashley Road, A317 Queens Road, A317 Hersham By-Pass, A244 Robins Way and A244 Hersham Road. Northbound – A244 Hersham Road, A244 Robins Way, A317 Hersham By-pass, A317 Queens Road, B365 Ashley Road, A244 Ashley Road and A244 High Street. 2. Suspend in entirety a) The “Surrey County Council Ashley Road (A244) Walton-on-Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” and b) “The Surrey County Council Hersham Road (A244) Walton On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026”.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out improvements to the uncontrolled pedestrian crossing, including associated footway resurfacing and road markings and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures and suspensions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for affected residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Wyke Lane (D66) Ash
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in that length of D66 Wyke Lane, Ash which extends from its junction with Guildford Road to its junction with Pound Farm Lane.
Alternative Route – D67 Harpers Road and A323 Guildford Road.
Alternative Route – A325 Portsmouth Road and A30 London Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing and/or major maintenance works as soon as possible within the 18 month period of this Order which will commence on 11 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route.
