TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION
ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 25th May 2026.
1. The effect of the Order will be:
a) To close the following lengths of road:

| Civic Centre Road | Its junction with Above Bar Street | Its junction with Havelock Road | Havelock Road, Cumberland Place, Brunswick Place, Charlotte Place, St Andrews Road and New Road |
| New Road | Its junction with Above Bar Street | Its junction with East Park Terrace | New Road, St Andrews Road, Charlotte Place, Brunswick Place, Cumberland Place and Havelock Road |
c) To introduce no waiting restrictions except taxis on Civic Centre Road (south side) from its junction with Above Bar Street to its junction with Windsor Terrace.
d) To suspend the following prohibited movements:

3. The alternative route(s) will be as shown above.
4. The Order will come into force on 1st June 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 24th July 2026.
