ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – FOREDOWN DRIVE, PORTSLADE

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

The following will be done in phases, and only in force as and when signed

(a) The temporary northbound closure of Foredown Drive, Portslade, at it's junction with Old Shoreham Road, Portslade.

(b) The temporary southbound closure, at it's junction with Old Shoreham Road, Portslade.

2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry our Gas Mains Replacement works.

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

4. This Order comes into force on 15 June 2026 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 13 July 2026.
