(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

SURREY STREET, CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate service cable installation works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Surrey Street.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Surrey Street will be closed between its junctions with Overton’s Yard and Flemongers Yard.

3. During the closure, the diversion route for traffic will be as detailed below.

• Via Surrey Street, Church Street, A236, The Croydon Flyover, A212, Katharine Street, Surrey Street and reversed,

4. The Order will come into operation on 14 June 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said work.

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.

ULLSWATER CRESCENT, COULSDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate cabling works for a new electrical substation on behalf of UKPN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit parking on Ullswater Crescent, Coulsdon.

2. During the work, parking on the north-east side of Ullswater Crescent will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions prohibiting parking and loading will apply at any time between its junction with Breakfield and the cul-de-sac.

3. The Order will come into operation on 11 June 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in approximately six weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

(b) a vehicle attending for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION

(SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NEW ADDINGTON CARNIVAL EVENT

ASSOCIATED RESTRICTIONS

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the forthcoming New Addington Carnival event they intend to make a Traffic Order the effect of which will be to:

(a) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding in the roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice at their junctions with the roads below (where applicable), whilst the procession passes.

• Central Parade

• Cleves Crescent

• King Henry’s Drive

• Milne Park West

• Overbury Crescent

• Parkway

• Vulcan Way

(b) Close King Henry’s Drive northbound at its junction with Arnhem Drive whilst the procession passes.

(c) Introduce waiting and loading restrictions whilst the Carnival is taking place on those roads specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

2. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.

3. The Order will come into effect on 14 June 2026 and will remain in force for one day, however, the prohibition on traffic will only be enforced until normal traffic flow can be maintained.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

PLAYSTREET CLOSURES – WOODSIDE ROAD, PURLEY

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they intend to make a Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to close Woodside Road, Purley, to vehicular traffic at the times and on the dates specified in the Schedule to this notice, to facilitate a playstreet.

2. During the dates and times specified in the Schedule to this notice no person shall cause any vehicle to enter or proceed in Woodside Road.

3. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for residents, or pedestrians accessing any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.

4. Nothing in the Order shall apply:

a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade, or ambulance purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

5. Whilst the closure is in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Smitham Downs Road, Smitham Bottom Lane, Woodcote Valley Road, Manor Wood Road and reversed.

6. The Order will come into effect on 31 May 2026 and will be reintroduced at the times and on the dates specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
