Temporary Road Closure

Latchmere Lane, Ham

(Reference 26/082)

  1. The Council of London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleansing works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Latchmere Lane, Ham.
  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Latchmere Lane, Ham outside from the junction with Ham Ridings to the junction with Church Road.
  3. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Church Road, Upper Ham Road, Tudor Drive and vice versa.
  4. The order will come into effect 09 June 2026 These works are anticipated to be in progress on 09 June 2026 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (Solo Motor Cycle Parking Bay) (No. 1) Order 2026

ZONE ES – THORNTON ROAD, EAST SHEEN

(Reference 26/014)

  1. The Council of London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on 27 May 2026 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 49 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order is to amend the conditions of the resident permit bays and shared use bays so that solo motor cycles are not permitted to park in any of these bays at all times, on all days of the week.
  3. The general effect of the Solo Motor Cycle Parking Place Order is to introduce a parking bay for the use of solo motor cycles only on the eastern side of Thornton Road at the rear of No. 202 Upper Richmond Road West. The bay will operate at all times on all days of the week.
  4. Copies of the Orders, which come into operation on 29 May 2026, a plan showing the location and effect of the Orders and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders:–

    (a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 26/014, at the Civic Centre (central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.

  5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for that reason to the High Court.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in St Johns Road, Richmond outside numbers 23-27.
  3. Whilst the works take place, both St Johns Road and Larkfield Road will be made two way.
  4. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via St Johns Road, Larkfield Road & Church Road and vice versa.
  5. The order will come into effect 01 June 2026 These works are anticipated to be in progress from 01 June to 06 June 2026 The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
  6. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibition of traffic in Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen.
  2. Whilst the works take place, the cycle lane will be suspended in Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen, outside numbers 462 to 472.
  3. The order will come into effect on 06 June 2026, the works are anticipated to be in progress at all times from 06 June to 07 June 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in various streets.
  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand in Waldegrave Park and Strawberry Hill Road as detailed in the schedule below, between the dates indicated. The parking restrictions and road closures will operate on a rolling basis.
  3. The order will come into effect on 01 June 2026. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 01 June 2026 until 24 July 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
