PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN CROYDON

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No. H14) Order 20-

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No. H15) Order 20-

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be:

a) To introduce “at any time” double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice

b) To update the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new arrangements as they exist on site.

3. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, between 10am and 6pm, at Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street, CR9 1ET. Alternatively, all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk

4. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Design Team, Croydon Council, Floor 3, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA or email Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference PD/H14 & H15 by 18 June 2026.

5. The Order is intended to introduce new or amend existing waiting restrictions at various locations. The waiting restrictions are intended to address all or some of the following situations: improve safety by providing increased visibility, especially at junctions and on bends; prevent obstructive parking so that turning vehicles have sufficient manoeuvrability and improve access for all road users, especially pedestrians, cyclists, emergency, and public service vehicles.

Beechwood Road, South Croydon

The northwest side, for 10 metres either side of its junction with Reddington Close.

Beulah Hill, Upper Norwood

The southwest side, either side of both of its junctions with Priory Crescent for 10 metres.

Darley Close, Croydon

• Both sides, from its junction with The Glade southwestwards for 15 metres.

• On the bend outside No. 6 Darley Close, from the common boundary of Nos. 6 and 8 Darley Close to the dropped kerb access to off-street parking for Nos. 6 and 8 Darley Close.

Ellis Close, Coulsdon

Both sides, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Ellis Road northwestwards by 10 metres.

Ellis Road, Coulsdon

The northwest side, extending the existing double yellow lines from the common boundary of Nos. 82 and 84 Ellis Road to the common boundary of Nos. 80 and 82 Ellis Road.

Fitzroy Gardens, Upper Norwood

The southwest side, between its junction with Wakefield Gardens and the northwestern boundary of No. 21a Fitzroy Gardens.

Foxley Lane, Purley

The northwest side, either side of its junction with Woodcote Drive for 10 metres.

Frimley Close, New Addington

Both sides, from its junction with Headley Drive southwestwards for 15 metres.

Galpin’s Road, Thornton Heath

The southeast side, either side of its junction with Goldwell Road, from the common boundary of Nos. 43 and 45 Galpin’s Road to the bus stop outside No. 55 Galpin’s Road.

Goldwell Road, Thornton Heath

Both sides, from its junction with Galpin’s Road, southwestwards for 20 metres.

Green Lane, Norbury

Both sides, from a point 10 metres northwest of its junction with Oswald’s Road to a point 31 metres southeast of that junction.

Headley Drive, New Addington

• The southwest side, either side of its junction with Frimley Close, from the northwestern flank wall of No. 170 Headley Drive to a point opposite the southeastern boundary of No. 2 Frimley Close.

• The northwest side, from a point 10 metres southwest of its junction with Witley Crescent to a point 10.5 metres northeast of that junction.

Imperial Way, Croydon

The north side, outside No. 14 Imperial Way, from its junction with Lysander Road, westwards for 11 metres.

Keston Avenue, Coulsdon

Both sides, extending the existing double yellow lines at its junction with Coulsdon Road eastwards by 10 metres.

Long Lane, Croydon

The access roads either side of the island site fronting property Nos. 31 to 41 Long Lane, both sides, from their junctions with the main carriageway of Long Lane to a point opposite the southern (front) wall of No. 37 Long Lane.

Lysander Road, Croydon

• The north to south arm, the west side, from a point opposite the southern wall of No. 14 Imperial Way to its junction with Imperial Way.

• The north to south arm, the west side, either side of the vehicular entrance to No. 12 Imperial Way, from the end of the existing double yellow lines outside Unit F, No. 12 Imperial Way to its junction with Imperial Way.

Mill Lane, Croydon

• The south side, converting the existing single yellow line opposite Nos. 1 to 12 Mill Lane to double yellow lines.

• The north side, converting the existing single yellow line between the western boundary of No. 12 Mill Lane and the vehicular entrance to Marks & Spencer at No. 330 Purley Way, to double yellow lines.

Orchard Way, Croydon

The east side, from a point 18.8 metres north of its junction with Regency Walk to a point 10 metres south of that junction.

Priory Crescent, Upper Norwood

From both its junctions with Beulah Hill, on both sides southwestwards for 10 metres.

Queensway, Croydon

The south side, extending the existing double yellow lines opposite its junction with Princes Way eastwards to terminate at its junction with Hawker Road.

Reddington Close, South Croydon

Both sides, from its junction with Beechwood Road northwestwards for 7 metres.

Regency Walk, Croydon

• The north side, from its junction with Orchard Way eastwards for 21 metres.

• The south side, from its junction with Orchard Way to the free parking bay marked outside No. 2 Regency Walk.

Selsdon Park Road, South Croydon

The southeast side, from a point 10 metres northeast of the northeastern boundary of No. 36 Selsdon Park Road to a point 7 metres southwest of the southwestern boundary of No. 36 Selsdon Park Road.

Smitham Downs Road, Purley

The northeast side, from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Woodcrest Road to a point 12.3 metres west of that junction.

South Norwood Hill, South Norwood

The southwest side, extending the existing double yellow lines at its junction with Grange Gardens so that they extend across Nos. 191 and 193 South Norwood Hill and join up with the existing double yellow lines opposite the junction with Tummons Gardens.

St Oswald’s Road, Norbury

Both sides, from its junction with Green Lane northeastwards for 10 metres.

St Paul’s Road, Thornton Heath

The northeast side, extending the existing double yellow lines on the bend outside No. 31 St Paul’s Road so that they terminate 2.5 metres northwest of the common boundary of Nos. 29 and 31 St Paul’s Road.

The Glade, Croydon

The southwest side, either side of its junction with Darley Close, from the common boundary of Nos. 95 and 97 The Glade to the bus stop outside No. 89 The Glade.

Wakefield Gardens, Upper Norwood

The northeast side, from its junction with Fitzroy Gardens to a point opposite the southwestern (rear) wall of No. 21a Fitzroy Gardens.

Witley Crescent, New Addington

Both sides, from its junction with Headley Drive northwestwards for 10 metres.

Woodcote Drive, Purley

Both sides, from its junction with Foxley Lane northwestwards for 15 metres.

Woodcrest Road, Purley

Both sides, from its junction with Smitham Downs Road northwestwards for 15 metres.

Woodside Way, Croydon

Surrounding the entire inner perimeter of the roundabout at the southwestern end of Woodside Way.
