Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
A254 Margate Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2FF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A254 Margate Road, Broadstairs, on or after 16th June 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 11 The Link, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A254 Margate Road, New Cross Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road, A254 Pearce Signs Roundabout and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Addington Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addington Street, Ramsgate, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 44 Flat 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2054 Paragon, B2054 St Augustines Road, B2054 Grange Road, B2054 London Road, West Cliff Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Adelaide Gardens, Liverpool Lawn & Albert Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Adelaide Gardens, Liverpool Lawn & Albert Street, Ramsgate, on or after 1st June 2026 until the works have been completed.
Phase 1 - Adelaide Gardens will be closed from 1st June 2026, with estimated completion by 17th July 2026.
The road will be closed the entire length.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Adelaide Gardens, Liverpool Lawn, Albert Street and vice versa.
Phase 2 - Liverpool Lawn will be closed from 6th July 2026, with estimated completion by 11th September 2026.
The road will be closed the entire length.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Albert Street, Adelaide Gardens, Liverpool Lawn and vice versa.
Phase 3 - Albert Street will be closed from 28th September 2026, with estimated completion by 23rd November 2026.
The road will be closed from outside number 33 to outside number 37.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Hertford Street, Queen Street, Grundys Hill and Albert Street.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Liverpool Lawn, Adelaide Gardens and Albert Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Alpha Road, Birchington, CT7 9SU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alpha Road, Birchington, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 11 for approximately 500m in an Easterly direction, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Alpha Road, Albion Road, Station Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Street, Broadstairs, CT10 2TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Broadstairs, on or after 18th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Old Forge and Victoria Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Street, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 St Peters Park Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, Vicarage Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Dundonald Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9RE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dundonald Road, Ramsgate, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dundonald Road, Crescent Road, Grange Road, Ellington Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Foads Hill, Ramsgate, CT12 5EQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow rail works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foads Hill, Ramsgate, on or after 5th June 2026 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 23:30 and 05:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foads Hill, Canterbury Road West, A256 Canterbury Road West, A299 Lord Of The Manor Roundabout, Sandwich Road, Cliffs End Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Grove Gardens, Margate, CT9 5RW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grove Gardens, Margate, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 31, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grove Gardens, All Saints Avenue, Wellis Gardens, B2052 George V Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Langham Close & Cameilla Close, Margate (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Langham Close & Cameilla Close, Margate, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
Langham Close will have a prohibition of right turn. The restriction will be imposed turning right from Langham Close onto A28 Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, Waverley Road, B2052 George V Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road and Langham Close.
Camellia Close will have a prohibition of right turn. The restriction will be imposed turning right from Camellia Close onto A28 Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, High Street, Balmoral Road, Crow Hill Road, Maynard Road, A28 Canterbury Road and Cameilla Close.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Reading Street, Broadstairs, CT10 3AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Reading Street, Broadstairs, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Copper Beech, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Reading Street, Convent Road, B2052 Joss Gap Road, Elmwood Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Spratling Street, Manston, CT12 5AW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spratling Street, Manston, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 16, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spratling Street, A256 Haine Road, B2050 Manston Road, Preston Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
