NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the following Order The Sutton (Moving Traffic Restrictions) (Amendment No. ) Order 202 under sections 84 and 124 (insofar as applicable) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other powers thereunto enabling.
The general effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit in Ashcombe Road, Beynon Road, Blakemore Road, Brookside, Carshalton Park Road, Carshalton Place, Cator Road, Church Hill (public highway extremity), Glebe Road, Gordon Road, Grosvenor Avenue, Park Avenue, Park Close, Rotherfield Road, Ruskin Road, Salisbury Road, Seymour Road, Talbot Road, The Park, The Square, Wales Avenue between Carshalton Park Road and Park Hill, Wallace Crescent, Woodstock Road.
Commencing 28 May 2026, copies of the proposed Order, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and draft map-based schedules showing the location and the effect of the proposals may be inspected as follows:
(a) online at https://consultation.appyway.com/sutton selecting MOSuttSL1231 - Ruskin Road Area 20mph;
(b) at the Council’s Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA; or
(c) copies of the draft Order and draft map-based schedules can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000 (between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday).
Comments to the proposed Order can be submitted either electronically via the link provided in paragraph 3(a) above or in writing to the TMO Team, Highways and Transport, Kingston & Sutton Shared Environment Service, Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA by 18 June 2026 by quoting reference MOSuttSL1231 - Ruskin Road Area 20mph.
