LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton on 18 May 2026 made the following Order The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 47) Order 2026 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 (insofar as applicable) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended, and all other powers thereunto enabling.

2. The general effect of the Order will: -

(a) amend no waiting and no loading/unloading restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines and kerb blips) in St Nicholas Way, to facilitate the parking bays and new crossing location;

(b) introduce 2 ‘loading bays’ in St Nicholas Way, outside Heddesde House and More House, operating Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6.30pm maximum stay 30 minutes, no return within 2 hours;

(c) introduce 3 disabled persons parking places in St Nicholas Way, outside Dendy House, operating throughout the week between 8am and 6.30pm, maximum stay 3 hours, no return within 2 hours and 6.30pm to 8am no time limit; and

(d) amend certain lengths of parking restrictions to facilitate the relocation of an existing Crossing in St Nicholas Way, from the rear of Nos. 105 to 111 High Street, Sutton to adjacent Church Street as mentioned in item 5 below.

3. From 24 July 2026 Copies of the Order, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order and map-based schedules showing the location and the effects of the Order may be inspected as follows: -

(a) online at https://streets.appyway.com/sutton selecting the road name and restriction as detailed in item 2;

(b) Council’s Civic Offices St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA; or

(c) by calling 020 8770 5000.

4. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
