Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A224 London Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 9LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new electricity supply for a customer, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A224 London Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 42 and 43.
The alternative route is via A224 London Road, Pembroke Road, A225 High Street and vice versa.
A233 Westerham Hill, Westerham, TN16 2ED (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new electricity supply for a customer, Kent County Council has made an Order for a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30mph to be imposed on a section of A233 Westerham Hill, Westerham, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The 30mph speed limit applies in both directions on A233 Westerham Hill, Westerham, between Westerham Heights and Tatsfield Lane.
Broad Lane, Fordcombe, TN3 0SR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broad Lane, Fordcombe, on or after 16th June 2026 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to Fitchetts Farm.
The alternative route is via Chafford Lane, B2188 Fordcombe Road, A264 Ashurst Road, Broad Lane and vice versa.
Franks Lane, Horton Kirby, DA4 9JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Franks Lane, Horton Kirby, on or after 17th June 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near Blackdale Barn.
The alternative route is via Eglantine Lane, A20 London Road, A225 Dartford Road, Franks Lane and vice versa.
High Street, Otford, TN14 5PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Otford, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 2 nights between 19.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 49A.
The alternative route is via A225 Sevenoaks/Otford Road, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road/Maidstone Road, A224 London Road, Pilgrims Way West and vice versa.
Holmesdale Hill, South Darenth, DA4 9JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holmesdale Hill, South Darenth, on or after 18th June 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Tree Tops.
The alternative route is via Paddock Close, East Hill, Holmesdale Road, Holmesdale Hill and vice versa.
Otford Lane, Halstead, TN14 7EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Otford Lane, Halstead, on or after 6th June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Fig Tree Cottage.
The alternative route is via Otford Lane, Shoreham Road, Shoreham Lane, Badgers Mount Roundabout, A224 London Road, A224 Polhill and vice versa.
Poundsbridge Hill, Penshurst, TN3 0RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Poundsbridge Hill, Penshurst, on or after 16th June 2026 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 45m north of the junction with Coopers Lane.
The alternative route is via Poundsbridge Hill, Poundsbridge, Penshurst Road, Langton Road, Speldhurst Road, The Green, A264 Ashurst Road, B2188 Fordcombe Road, The Lane, Poundsbridge Lane and vice versa.
Rays Hill, Horton Kirby, DA4 9DB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rays Hill, Horton Kirby, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Lombard Street.
The alternative route is via Eglantine Lane - A20 London Road - A225 Dartford Road - Station Road - Horton Road - The Street and vice versa.
Uckfield Lane, Hever, TN8 5NT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Uckfield Lane, Hever, on or after 5th June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Oak Tree House.
The alternative route is via Uckfield Lane, Buckhurst, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill, B2026 Hartfield Road, B2026 Mill Hill, Hever Road and vice versa.
Watery Lane, Kemsing, TN15 6PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of drainage works to prevent further flooding to the highway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Watery Lane, Kemsing, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from The Old Granary to Honeypot Lane.
The alternative route is via Watery Lane, Honey Pot Lane, Noahs Ark, St Ediths Road, West End, Childsbridge Lane, Church Street, A25 High Street, A25 Maidstone Road, Broad Oak Lane and vice versa.
Weald Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1SP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Weald Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 15th June 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 73A and 77.
The alternative route is via Weald Road, Hubbards Hill, Glebe Road, Morleys Road, A225 Riverhill, A225 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
