THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PARKER STREET, BURY) (ONE-WAY WORKING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council propose to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:-

INTRODUCTION OF ONE WAY WORKING

Parker Street, Buryfor a distance of 28m in a westerly direction from its junction with Heywood St
A copy of the Order which comes into operation on 8th June 2026, a plan showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be requested by email at eng.com@bury.gov.uk quoting reference TR35/26.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks of 28th May 2026 apply to the High Court for that purpose. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (ALBERT STREET, BURY) PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as follows:-

Albert Street, Buryfor a distance of 4m in a northerly direction from its junction with Rochdale Rd
A copy of the Order which comes into operation on 8th June 2026, a plan showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be requested by email at engcom@bury.gov.uk quoting reference TR35/26 or by inspection at the Town Hall reception, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:30pm.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks of 28th May 2026 apply to the High Court for that purpose.
