Walterstone - Temporary Road Closure Due To Reinstatement Works

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1219 Nuthatch Cottage To Gwent Boundary -Walterstone, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1219 Nuthatch Cottage To Gwent Boundary Walterstone, outside Perthi Bach. Grid Ref: 335347/227222.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via C1218 From C1219 To Oaklea onto the C1218 From Coldock To Oaklea onto C1205 Rhydunnog Lane To Powys Boundary onto the C1213 From River Monnow onto C1213 Shepherds Hill To Great Walk onto the C1213 From B4347 onto the B4347 onto the C1219 From A465 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to reinstatement works and the likelihood of dangerto the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 11th of June 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
