NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: A465, Station Approach, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A465, Station Approach, Hereford, from the entrance to the railway station to the entrance to the medical centre. Grid Ref: 351439/240528.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal for eastbound traffic will be the A465 onto Widemarsh Street, onto the A49, onto the A438, onto Commercial Street, onto the A465. For westbound traffic, use the A465 onto Commercial Street, onto the A438, onto the A49, onto the A465 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 1st of June 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 7 nights.
