What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DANE END, THERFIELD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dane End, Therfield from a point 110m south east of its junction with Haywood Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 138m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Dane End, Haywood Lane, Rooks Nest Lane and Dane End.

The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 3 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BURRS LANE, BARKWAY) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Burrs Lane, Barkway from its junction with Barkway Public Footpath No.013 north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON FEARS GREEN, KELSHALL/SANDON) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Fears Green, Kelshall/Sandon from its junction with North End south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Gannock Road, a distance of approximately 2562m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via North End, Kelshall Tops, The Causeway, Police Row, Hey Green, Rooks Nest Lane, Sandon Road, C10 (unnamed road) and C108 (unnamed road).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NORTH END, KELSHALL) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of North End, Kelshall from its junction with The Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 155m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via North End, Fears Green, C108 (unnamed road), C10 (unnamed road), Sandon Road, Rooks Nest Lane, Police Row, The Causeway, Kelshall Tops and North End.

The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
