What is happening?
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD (PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY BRIDLEWAY LAMESLEY 72, KIBBLESWORTH) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Gateshead proposes to make an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians from proceeding along Bridleway Lamesley 72 from its junction with Kibblesworth Bank to its junction with Greenford Lane.
The Order is required to accommodate bridleway drainage and repair works. The Order will come into force on 15 June 2026. The maximum duration of the Order will be 6 months. All pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians (except operatives involved with the works and emergency services personnel on duty) will be prohibited from proceeding along the bridleway until the works are competed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs.
During the prohibition, there will be a signed diversion in place.
