TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 150213486 : The City of Manchester (Red Bank, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Red Bank between Corporation Street and Scotland.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Dantzic Street, St Michael’s Square, Angel Street, Rochdale Road, Miller Street, Cheetham Hill Road, Trinity Way, Lord Street, Red Bank. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a new sewer.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 15th June 2026 to 3rd July 2026. The order shall come into operation on 15th June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
